Pat Downey:
Director of Operations, Football
Pat grew up in Beverly, Massachusetts and attended Bishop Fenwick High School in Peabody, MA. At Fenwick, Pat was an MVP and Two-Time All-Star in Football and Track & Field. Pat is a school record holder in the Shot Put, and was recently named to the Bishop Fenwick Football All-Decade Team.
After Fenwick, Pat the University of New Hampshire to play football. At UNH, Pat was a 4-Year Starter at Center for the Wildcats and was named Captain of the 1997 UNH Football Team that won the Atlantic-10 North Division. Pat was named First Team All-East, First Team All-New England and First Team All-Atlantic 10 for his accomplishments on the Gridiron.
In 1998, Pat signed with the San Diego Chargers of the National Football League (NFL) as an Undrafted Free Agent. After a short stint with the Chargers, Pat would go onto have a seven year Pro Football career with the Washington Redskins, Atlanta Falcons, New England Patriots and in the NFL Europe and Arena Football Leagues.
After retiring from Pro Football in 2004, Pat was named Assistant Head Coach of Jon Bon Jovi’s Philadelphia Soul in the Arena Football League where he helped guide the Soul to their first winning season in franchise history, and two consecutive AFL Play-Off appearances.
Pat currently lives in Swampscott, MA. with his wife Andrea and three children Jackson(5), Peyton(4) and Colt(1). |
